In the Still of the Morning

My mission was to capture the early morning sunlight that was glistening on the water as it tumbled over the rocks in the shallow creek that meandered through the lush landscape of willows, ferns and poplar trees.
Painting water is a re-occurring theme in many of my paintings. I love to lead the viewers eye through the painting, then have the viewer discover little passages and wander there for a while.
