This painting was from a walk last fall. I was at the wild-life park next door and went down this trail when the roads shimmered in the heat of the midday sun. Then I felt a gentle breeze touching my cheek, like a reminder for me to breathe in, filling up my chest with this fresh air. I took the photo and went back to paint this piece, in which I hope I have kept this very lively moment from the walk.
