Marsh Impressions I

I love the peaceful feeling of the marsh and try to convey that with without fussy detail in my pastel paintings. I was inspired by this scene because of the contrast of the dark bark on the partially leaved fall trees. The marsh provides a path to the bold bark. Like our walk in life when we settle into a peaceful presence often there comes a bold inspiration.
