I was in Reedville, VA for a month in the spring, and saw many of these fields filled with vibrant lemon yellow flowers. It was breath taking...this painting is from one such field. I fell in love with this big true, full of the colors of spring in this field of flowers. I painted this with various pastels on BFK Rives paper with a red toned underpainting.
