I am very familiar with this scene. My brother-in-law and I hike to the summit of Daley Canyon often; each time I take a photo. I loved the lighting on this particular reference photo and have do color studies on site. A few years back I purchased the Blue Earth 84 Pochade Set Wood. Looking through my usual studio set, I did not have the rose and coral hues and the values needed to paint the sun lite sky and bushes. I was able to find what I needed in my Blue Earth set. I know always pull out that set to paint.
