Pastel. We have beautiful Dawns and sunsets on the Monterey bay. From a walk I took, I knew I had to express my feelings of this day! Starting on sanded paper I draw with a conte /charcoal stick , then block in shapes with a waterbased wash. Proceeding to my palette I begin by layering many types of pastel but always hardest to softest. Ending with perhaps an edge using a pastel pencil. That was how Dawn came to be.
