The inspiration was from traveling thru Scotland and visiting an original Roman wall that contains an original cemetery. The cemetery is an inspiration for many creative people. The author of Outlander being one. I begin with a sketch/photo, then in my studio I redraw the subject, paint with a waterbased wash to begin the shapes. Followed by layers of paste, from hard to soft to develop the painting.
