This piece was inspired by a summer day spent in Sequoia National Forest. The trees depicted aren't Sequoia themselves, but some of the many varieties that make up this diverse and unique eco-system. Most of the trees are hundreds of years old, and some are even thousands! I chose to feature the dappled light and was particularly captivated by the fallen trees and branches that lay at the feet of these mighty giants.
